An independent practice for a region most cannot reach.
ARMIN — Avesta Research, Monitoring & Insight Network — is the brand identity of Avesta Regional Research UG (haftungsbeschränkt), based in Heidelberg.
We were founded to close a specific gap: German and EU institutions need verifiable, independently checked evidence on Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan — a connected region that is increasingly difficult to reach in person.
Where single-country institutes read one file and broad regional think-tanks read too many, ARMIN reads the Avesta region as one integrated space, and does so commercially — delivering monitoring, compliance checks, policy briefs and advisory rather than publications alone.
Our answer to the access problem is method. Open-source signal is combined with vetted human insight read in Farsi/Dari, Pashto and Urdu, triangulated across independent sources, and cleared by an independent Compliance Officer with the authority to stop any output. The result is accountability without access.

What we hold to
Evidence over assumption
Every claim is sourced, traceable and independently checked before it ships.
Compliance without exception
AWG, DSGVO and EU-sanctions law frame every mandate; the veto is real.
Source safety first
The protection of at-risk contacts takes precedence over any deliverable.
Neutrality
Analytical, non-partisan and free of political symbolism — evidence, not advocacy.
Working languages
Primary sources are read and assessed in their own language — Farsi/Dari, Pashto and Urdu — with reporting delivered in German and English.

Accountability without access begins with a conversation.
